KALEIDOSCOPE RAIN
THE FORTRESS OF PEACE
The largest art installation on a castle in the world
Fortezza Firmafede – Sarzana (ITALY)
28th November 2020 – 9th January 2021
A cascade of bright rainbows painted on canvas shines on the external bastions of the Fortress Fimafede with a message of optimism and hope for the future.
On Saturday 28th November by the Fortress Firmafede based in Sarzana has been presented the art installation Kaleidoscope Rain realized by Dale in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage – Direzione regionale Musei Liguria and the City of Sarzana.
After the realization of the Guinness World Records: the longest painting by an individual, Dale creates a new monumental installation with social emphasis, Kaleidoscope Rain, which is the largest realized by an Italian artist and the biggest on a castle in the world.
The moment of deep uncertainty is challenging art and culture to find new creative ways of expression, so the artwork becomes a necessary experience to establish contact with individuals, the community and the contemporary society.

WORLD RECORDS shopIn the installation of Dale, art is the means and the medium of the connection with people, where representations join the simplicity of the creations in a message of hope through a journey in the colors of Peace.
“It is necessary that art is available to the people. We are living in a moment of massive bombardment of information, so I would express a clear and incontrovertible message through art and colors. This means to me: create a deep connection with people and their feelings.
The rainbow arises between the shy sunlight and the drops of rain. In this difficult situation we need to be brave, find positivity and hope for the future.
This artwork expresses the voice of people through the language of Peace.”
The work is thought to dialogue with the architecture of the Fortress Firmafede, a marvelous place of artistic and cultural events, creating a physical and intellectual interaction with the structure, with the citizens and the passengers who accidentally meet the installation.
The project and its realization took five months and it has been supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage – Direzione regionale Musei Liguria and the City of Sarzana.
